My Softball Career

2008-2011

Almaden Valley Girls Softball League & Almaden Lightning

Rec Softball league ranging from age division 8 and under up until 14 and under. Participated in both the recreational and more competitive part of the league for the summer from ages 8-12.

2011-2013

NorCal Legands Travel Softball

My first travel ball organization. Jump start to understand the huge difference between rec and travel ball. My passion for the game sparked. I learned how to present myself professionally from a young age thanks to working with older girls in the organization. I even played on an older team and felt supported through it all.

2014-2015

Tried a new league and met some great people but in end, learned that I strive in a tighter-knit/smaller community, surrounded by familiar faces. Moved back to an organization with friends.

Cal Nuggets Softball

2015-2017

Haley Woods ended up recruiting me to join Cal Nuggets and I loved the program and had many of my friends as part of the organization. They aided me in learning about how the recruiting process works and how to be patient.

2013-2017

Presentation High School

Varsity softball all four years in high school. Won the Alyssa Messier scholarship my Senior Year.

" scholarship is awarded to a senior who embodies the exceptional enthusiasm that Alyssa Messier demonstrated at Presentation"

2017-2021

University of Redlands

Recruited to play 3rd, catcher, and outfield for the U of R during my junior year of high school. Unlike, many of my teammates, I did not simply take the first softball options that might have found their way to me. I decided to never give up on finding the best place for me academically and athletically, even if it was taking "too long" to commit. Something I learned what that it is NEVER too late. Trusting that if you did your homework (pun intended) and played your best, a school that wanted you would indeed respond.

Unfortunately, a bizarre wrist injury two months into my freshman year cut that dream short. I fought hard to get back on the field and stayed on the roster at the U of R until my junior year, finding any way to still be a team player. Whether that meant speaking to prospective athletes through the recruiting process or catching/shagging and being the best “student coach” possible.

2015-2021

Assitant Coach for Almaden Little League/ Almaden Lightning

Began coaching my little sister and fell in love with helping little girls. I remembered being their age and admiring the heck out of any older softball player. Giving back to the organization has meant so much to me. Plus, it has been a wonderful way to form a special bond with my sister.

2023- Present

Head Coach for 12U NorCal Legands Travel Softball

Back at my first travel ball organization! I am determined to emphasize female authority in a sport that is sadly not coached enough by these positive impacts till a later age.

Assistant Coach & Recruiting Advisor for BatBusters Bay Area Travel Softball

I wanted to find a smaller program in the Bay Area to put my experiences to good use! Right in the heart of Willow Glen, close to where I played in HS, I am so happy to give back to this community. I am an assistant coach for ages 12-18. It has been so fun helping young women through all the stages of life.
